Good News, Women Bass Anglers have a new trail, The Lady Bass Anglers Association “Anglers from the past,
present, and future have all contributed to move this organization from
a dream to a reality,” stated Cheryl Bowden, one of the co-founders of the LBAA.

The Lady Bass Anglers Association’s (LBAA)
Kickoff Tournament is this weekend September 16-18, at Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas.
There will be women anglers from 14 different states at the event with all levels of experience competing.

Women who will be fishing their first professional tournament as well as season Pros like Pamela Martin-Wells who came in 24th place in the 2010 Bass Masters Classic, and Emily Shaffer, who was elected to the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame in 2009.


Judy Wong, Mary DiVicneti , Patti Campbell, Sheri Glasgow are just a few of the ones already signed up for the tournament this weekend.

Cheryl Bowden saids, “Lake Dardanelle is the first step of this quest, and it will definitely not be the last.” Locals like Gail Wood a competing angler saids, “I'm excited about the new LBAA tour coming to Lake Dardanelle.
Russellville locals are looking forward to the ladies being here.
