TACKLE SHOPS AND BOAT SERVICES ARE IMPORTANT LOCATIONS TO KNOW

In a new area finding local tackle shops will provide you with a pot of gold worth of information, not only do they carry all the tackle use by the local fishermen.

The keep up with the condition of the lake, they know where all the boat services are as well as any other needs the fishermen need. While you are there talk to the people working and look for yourself to see the empty slots on the shelf, and I bet 9 out of 10 times thats what the fishermen are using on that lake.

Hiring a guide is another way to get to know the lake, this can be costly be is worth the effort if you dont have time to spend on the water.

I went to a hard ware store that had a box full of lures, plastic, and other items, for sell marked down as low as 25 cents so I asked the owner how much for the whole box? He replied to me, give me $ 25.00 you can have it so I purchased the whole box.

Iwent home and searched thru the box, which was quite large, I had over $200.00 worth of lures only because the hardware store wasgoing out of business and they had all these fishing lures and tackle that no one ever bought.

The moral to the story is to look around a new town if you have time to see what they have to offer and remember a deal is a deal no matter what stores it comes from.

I offer you as many tackle shops and boat service as we can in this section so it will add to your knowledge.

Give them a call of click on there web site. This is not something they pay me for this is free for them and you to get in contact with each other.

My favorite store is,Bass Pro Shops but can tell you that Ivy's tackle shop in Morgan City. Louisiana has some of the best home made spinner baits around.

When I was fishing Toledo bend I went into a little store that only sold YAMOMOTO LURES AND GOT A CHANCE TO MEET Gary Yamomoto himself, talking about making my day not to mention he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet , he gave me advice as well as the owner on how to fish the lake since this was the first time I had been there.

By the way I finished 3rd with a little over 17lbs.
