Lake Reports can be one of the most helpful resources a fisherman can use to give him or her an advantage in up coming tournaments.
Lake conditions change everyday due to the weather conditions and traffic on the lakes.
There is some form of consistency to the lakes as to what the fish do after a cold front or if it has been raining, and the water is muddy.
You should never rely on just one source check several different reports about the Lake you are going to fish as far as a month back and compare what you find.
If you do your home work you should be able to see patterns and specific locations the fish like at certain times
of the year and in different conditions.
Buy a Lake map and some markers to mark places on the maps you read about in the reports use different colors for docks, channels, brush piles, grass, top water lures, and so on....
By using Lake Reports and doing some homework you now have a idea of the locations to check out and techniques to
use when you hit the water to practice.
Take your map with you fine the areas you made note of, put down markers and scout the area thoroughly, and look for more features to make note of, then start casting.
Being prepared will make better use of your time on the water, instead of running here and there wasting time, gas, and money.
This is a list of a few sites that have good detailed and up to date reports:
Sharing what works for you on a lake doesn't mean it will work for someone else in the same way. You have to practice on the water to see which peace of advice you can make work for you, and sharing what worked for you will help someone else in the future. Good or bad all information is worth sharing.
I want to make everyone's homework a little easier I will tell as much information as I can about the lakes I fish and the places where I find good Information if you will do the same.
