LAKE REPORT: Guntersville
Water temp : 71*
CLARITY : 2 - 3 FEET
Date : 4/24/10
Lake Guntersville is on fire, the keeper bass in the 3 lb and lower are hitting everything you put in front of them in the area's from water front going down to browns creek they can be found on the flats hitting a rattle trap to pitching a lizard around the docks.
For your better fish I would still fish the banks with wood cover on them using a lizard or a senko by casting it out and letting it settle down then twitch it and they will be there.
There is still a no show on the hog's on the flats where the grass seems to be starting to come in and that will only make the fishing get better.
Top water pop'r seem to be working better first thing in the morning then settle down with plastics.
Don't forget to throw a shallow running crank bait in the shad pattern to the tops of grass when you find it by heading to the back of creeks and in shallow areas.
You should get a limit with ease according to the lake reports, that 20 to 60 keeper are being caught each day.
Just hope the bad weather this weekend don't effect the bite in the mornings.
