Big news for
The High School Bass Fishing Clubs Apirl 7th
The Bass Federation announced it will conduct the inaugural High School Fishing World Finals in Russellville, Ark. on Lake Dardanelle, July 19-24, 2010.
All Student Anglers that are Federation affiliated high school fishing clubs are
eligible to register and attend this inaugural event, and there is still plenty of time left to get any High School club signed up.
There is over 15 states and canada signed up already. These events will be
Promoting Education Through Fishing, College Scholarships, and Competitive Fishing, this will be a new era in Bass fishing history.
The Federation plans to have this event every year in July and there will be no limit
on how many teams you can send from each school and no entry fees for Anglers. The schools will have fund raisers to fund the trips.
Since Illini Bluffs High School Bass Fishing Club
had the first sanctioned high school tournament A little over a year ago. High school bass fishing
clubs have been popping up all over the United States and Canada.
Alabama high schools are also on board with Tim Tedwell heading it upand pushing to get sactioned.
April 3rd Susan Moore High School had a tournament at Lake Guntersville State Park in
Alambama, Chelsea high school also has club my cousin's 16 year old son has joined.
Maryville, Tn. Middle School club has 28 members and was recently awarded the largest new club membership for 2009.
Sunday March 28th 2010, 12 members of the Kenston Forest Kavalier Student Angler Federation Bass Club had there very first tournament in Virginia.

Contact local fishing clubs in your area for volenteers as coaches. Give your kids a reason to get up early on saturday mornings.
It is just amazing how high school fishing has grown in such a short time.
