The place to enter Big Bass Pictures for the Big Bass Contest, tell your story about what kind of day you had fishing your tournament, and about the lake you were fishing that day.

The lures that you caught your fish with, if you caught more than just the one Lunker. How was the water? How many times have you fished that lake?

Any thing that you think would be interesting to fellowanglers good or bad because being a fisherman everyone is going to have a bad day sooner or later.

I have had my share from being in a boat wreck to dead batteries on the boat. Left Lights on in the truck with no jumper cables. Hook going through my hand had to go to the hospital to have that one removed.

But I remember the day on Sharon Harris in North Carolina it had rained a few days water was a little milky. I was fishing with a spro crank bait my favorite bait. There was only about 68 minutes of fishing time left and I only had 2 3lb or 4lb keepers in the boat.

I was fishing some under water building that a friend showed me.

I was bumping it cross the top an then let it drop down along the side of the building. I felt that bump seen my line move to the right I set the hook my rod bent over, my heart went to racing I could not do nothing with the fish.

The big bass picture I had in my mind was nothing compared to what it was when I saw the real thing.

I thought I was hung for a minute then he started running. I was tring not to horse him to much didn't won't break my line I use 15lb test P-line, so I was more worried about the rod breaking.

He had not jumped and I could not see the fish in the water I new it was big and I was praying it was a Bass.

A 4lb. fish caught in Lake Lanair Va in 1992

Then it started coming to the boat it would stop then go the other way he was doing what ever he wanted to do. Slowly he got close enough for me to see the Biggest Bass I had ever seen on my line. I think my heart quit beating for a second when I saw him.

I got my net once he got to the top he didn't fight that much just rolled on his side next to the boat and I scooped him up.

After I got him in the live well I had eight minutes to get back to the landing I was flying back I made it with a minute to spare I played it cool said I only have three fish.

A few guys had a limit I got my 2 out asked a friend to hold them while I got the big one and put him in a different bag. Think everybody's jaw dropped that day 11 lbs. 4 oz. and with the other two I took big fish and first place with 19lb 2oz. Now that was a good day that happened in 2003. I have a Big Bass Picture some where of the 11lb. fish, but have not been able to fine it yet, when you move as much as I do things get misplaced. I did fine this one of a 4lb. 8oz caught on lake laniar in Virginia 1992. That was a big fish for that area. Win Free Tackle!
