Arkansas is the second State in region one. There are 600,000 acres of Lakes and more than 9,700 miles of streams and rivers. It hosts the oldest national Park, (Hot Springs National Park) and the first national river, (The Buffalo River), and it has the only Diamond Mine in the world open to the public, called The Crater of Diamonds State Park near Murfreesboro. And the quartz crytal deposits in the Hot Springs/Mount Ida area are known through out the world.

- Spotted Bass record is 7lb. 15oz. in Bull Shoals Lake, by Mike Heilich from St. Louis, MO on 03/26/1983.
Some of the top bass lakes include Beaver Lake, Lake Frierson, White Oak Lake, DeGray Lake, Lake Fort Smith, Moro Bay Lake, Lake Greeson, Lake Monticello, Bull Shoals Lake, Lake Conway, Lake Dardanelle, Greers Ferry Lake, Lake Hamilton, Table Rock Lake, Lake Maumelle, Lake Millwood, Norfolk Lake, and Lake Ouachita.
